i have done it like this...see, thickness = R - r = 5....(i)
also volume of both objects is equal
therefore,
440*260*100 cm^3 = 22/7 * 112 ( R^2 - r^2 )
on solving, we get
R^2 - r^2 = 32500
or (R+r) (R-r) = 32500
(5+r+r) ( 5 ) = 32500..........(from eq. 1)
5+ 2r = 6500
r= 6495/2 = 3247.5 cm or 32.475 m
