We have,
radius of cylindrical portion=radius of hemispherical portion
r=7cm
Next, total length of solid=Length of cylindrical portion + Length of hemispherical portion
97cm=Lengthof cylindrical portion(h)+radius (r)
or 97=h+7
or h=90cm
T.S.A. of solid= CSA of hemisperical portion+CSA of cylindrical portion+ Area of base of cylinder
= 2πr2 + 2πrh + πr2
=2πrh+3πr2
=πr(2h+3r)
=22/7 *7 {(2*90 )+ (3*7)}
=22(180+21)
=22(201)
=4422 cm2
Hope its helpful and correct!!
