Given :

Radius of the cylinder = 20 cm

Height of the cylinder = 35 cm

Radius of cylinder = Radius of each hemisphere (r)= 35 cm

Total surface area of the solid = Curved surface area of cylinder +2× Curved surface area of hemisphere

TSA the solid = 2πrh + 2 × 2πr²

TSA the solid = 2πr ( h + 2r)

= 2 × 22/7 × 35 ( 20 + 2× 35)

= 2× 22× 5 ×(20+70)

= 220 × 90 = 19800 cm²

TSA the solid = 19800 cm²

Hence, the total surface area of the solid is 19800 cm².
