Given :-

A solid right circular cylinder is made by melting a solid right circular cone.

Height of the cone, h = 12 cm

• The radii of both are equal

To Find :-

Height of the solid cylinder

Solution :-

We know,

Volume of cylinder = πr²h

{\boxed{\sf{Volume\:of\:cone=\dfrac{1}{3}\pi\:r^2\:h}}}

Now,

Volume of cone = ⅓ πr² 12

= 4πr² cm³

Here,

• Radii of cone = Radii of cylinder = r

• Height of cylinder = h

According to the question, we can write

Volume of cylinder = Volume of cone

➱ πr²h = 4πr²

➱ h = 4

Therefore,

height of the solid cylinder is = 4 cm
