→ Hey Mate,
→ Given Question:-
→ A solid sphere of radius 3 cm is melted and then cast into small spherical balls each of diameter 0.6cm. Find the number of balls thus obtained.
→ To Find :-
→ Find the number of balls thus obtained?
→ Solution:-
→ Let the total number of balls be x.
→ Volume of the solid sphere ⇒
→ 4 / 3 π r³ = 4 / 3 π × 3³ cm³ = 36 π cm³
→ Radius of Spherical ball ⇒
→ 0.6 / 2 cm = 0.3 cm
→ Volume of spherical ball ⇒
→ 4 / 3 π × ( 0.3)³ cm³
→ 4 / 3 π × 3 / 10 × 3 / 10 × 3 / 10 cm³
→ = 36π / 1000 cm³
→ ∴ Volume of x spherical ball ⇒
→ 36 π / 1000 x cm³,
→ clearly , volume of the solid sphere = volume of x spherical balls.
→ 36π = 36 π / 1000 x
→ ⇒ x = 1000
→ Hence , 1000 spherical balls are obtained by melting the given solid sphere.
