A solid weighs 100g in air, 75 g in water and 70 g in oil . calculate the relative density of the oil and solid.

relative density = loss of weight of oil / loss of weight of water

                                               = (100-70)/(100-75)

                                               = 30 / 25

                                               =1.5    answer
