a). Upthrust = 5gf or 0.05 N

b). The volume of the solid = 5cm^{3}

c). The Relative density of the liquid = 10

Explanation:

a). upthrust = Weight in air - weight in water

  = 50 - 45

  = 5gf

b). Volume of the solid = 5 * 9.8/1000

v * 1000 * 9.8 = 5 * 9.8/1000

v = \frac{5}{10^{3} * 10^{3} }

v = 5 * 10^{-6}

= 5cm^{3}

c). The relative density of the liquid = \frac{w_{1} }{w_{1} - w_{2} }

= 50/50-45

= 50/5

= 10
