relative density of an object = density of object/density of water
but r .d of object =75-55.6
=19.4

density of object/density of water =75/19.4
= 3.86

sweety70: whats r.d....??
sweetylyceum135: its relative density

hey mate...

Solid weighs 75 gms in air, and 55.6 gms in water.
So, difference in weight = buoyant force
19.6= weight of liquid displaced.
19.6/g=mass of liquid
=2 = mass of liquid
Since the liquid is water and the density 1 kg/m3, the volume of the liquid displaced=volume of the solid = 2 m3
SO, density = 75/1000/2
= 0.0375
and it will float because its density is less that of water.
