A solution contain 40gm of common salt in 320gm of water. Calculate the concentration in terms of mass by mass percentage of the solution

Mass of solute = 40g
Mass of solvent = 320g
Mass of solution = 40g + 320g = 360g

Mass by mass percentage = (Mass of solute / Mass of solution) * 100
= (40g / 360) * 100
= 11.1%
