A solution contains 30 g of gulucose 20 g of sugar in 500 ml of water. Calculate the mass percent of gulucose and sugar

Mass of water = Volume × Density
= 500 ml × 1 g/ml
= 500 g

Mass % = (Mass of solute / Mass of solution) × 100

Glucose
Mass % = [30 / (30 + 20 + 500)] × 100
= 5.45%

Sugar
Mass % = [20 / (30 + 20 + 500)] × 100
= 3.63%
