Given:-

•Mass of common salt(solute)=40g

•Mass of water(solvent)=280g

To find:-

•Concentration of the solution

Solution:-

=>Mass of solution=Mass of solute+mass of solvent

=>(280+40)g

=>320g

________________________________

We know that:-

Conc.of a solution=mass of solute/mass of solution×100

=>40/320×100

=>0.125×100

=>12.5%

Thus,concentration of the solution is 12.5%
