Answer:

  • Concentration of solution in terms of mass by mass percent is 12.5 %

Explanation:

Given

  • Mass of sugar (solute) = 50 g
  • Mass of water, (Solvent) = 350 g

To find

  • Concentration of solution in terms of mass by mass percent

Formula required

  • Formula for mass by mass percentage of compound

Mass percent = (mass of solute / mass of solution) × 100 %

Solution

Since,

  • → mass of solution = mass of solvent + mass of solute

therefore,

  • → Mass of sugar solution = mass of sugar + mass of water
  • → Mass of sugar solution = (  50 g ) + ( 350 g )
  • → Mass of sugar solution = 400 g

  • Now, using formula for mass by mass percentage
  • → Mass percent = ( mass of solute / mass of solution ) × 100 %
  • → Mass percent = ( mass of sugar / mass of sugar solution ) × 100 %
  • → Mass percent = ( 50 ) / ( 400 ) × 100 %
  • → Mass percent = 50 / 4  %
  • → Mass percent = 12.5 %

Therefore,

  • Concentration of solution in terms of mass by mass percent of the solution is 12.5 %.

Answer:

mass of solute/mass of solution

=50/350×100

=1/7 is the ratio

= 1/7×100

=14.28%

thus above is the concentration

hope you got the answer!!!
