A solution contains 60g of common salt in 240g of water. Calculate the concentration in terms of mass by mass percentage of solution.

mass of solvent =240g

mass of solution = 60g

Mass of solute + mass of solvent = 60+240=300g

concentration of solution = 60/300 x 100

= 1/5 x 100
