A Solution contains 60g of sugar in 350g of water. Calculate the concentration in terms of mass by volume percentage of the solution?

Answer:

Mass of solute(sugar)=60g

Mass of solvent(water)=350g

therefore, Mass of solution=Mass of solute + Mass of solvent

= 60g + 350g

= 380g

Volume of water =  380 g

Concentration of Solution = Amt. of solute / Amt of soln. × 100

Concentration = (60/380  ) × 100 = 15.7%
