Concept:

Archimides Principle

any body completely or partially submerged in a fluid (gas or liquid) at rest is acted upon by an upward, or buoyant, force, the magnitude of which is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by the body.

Explanation:

given mass of can is 0.416kg

bouyant force acting on it is 45N

we know that density of water is 10³ kg/m³

let

volume of liquid displaced be V

so according to Archimides Principle

45=weight of liquid diplaced=(volume of liquid displaced)*(density of                                                         liquid(water))*(g)

45=V*(10³ )*10

V=45/10⁴=45×10⁻⁴ m³
