this is because,iron being more reactive displaces copper from its solution of copper sulphate and forms ferrous sulphate.

✔this is becoz iron is more reactive than copper . It displaces copper from copper sulphate to form iron sulphate . Since iron is being consumed , holes apper in the pot.
