A solution of sugar and water contains 20% sugar by weight. From this solution, if 25 kg of water is evaporated, the mixture now contains 25% of sugar. Find he quantity of sugar in the solution initially.

Solution:
The quantity of sugar in the original 6 litres of solution = The quantity of sugar in the remaining part.... 6 - 1 = 5 litres.
So,
=> 4% of 6 = x% of 5
=> 4/100 * 6 = x/100 * 5
=> x = 4 * 6 / 5
=> x = 4.8
