time to go = 2.5 seconds
time to come = 2.5 seconds
total time = 5 seconds
distance = 3625 m
speed of sound in water = distance covered by sound /time.
= 3625/2.5
= 1450 m/s.
the speed of sound is 1450 m/s
time to come = 2.5 seconds
total time = 5 seconds
distance = 3625 m
speed of sound in water = distance covered by sound /time.
= 3625/2.5
= 1450 m/s.
the speed of sound is 1450 m/s

In the case of an echo the formula is
2 x distance=speed x time
Here the sound travels towards the surface which is d and after hitting back it comes to the source which has the same distance. So,2 x distance
3625 x 2=s x 5
7250=s x 5
7250/5=s
1450=s
therefore the speed of the signal is 1450m/s
