m= mass of stone = 5 Kg
v= velocity of stone = 36 m/s
M= mass of Earth = 6*10²⁴ Kg
V= velocity of Earth
Applying Law of Conservation of Momentum ,
mv + MV = 0
V= -mv/M = -(5*36)/6*10²⁴ = -3 × 10^-23
Here , - sign indicates that direction of velocity of Earth is opposite to that of stone
