  • β₁ = 10log(I/I₀)

  • β₂ = 10log(I'/I₀)

Given :- β₁-β₂ = 20

∴ 20 = 10log(I/I₀)-10log(I'/I₀)

20 = 10 log(I/I₀) [∵ logA - LogB = Log(A/B)]

  • I' = I/100

Therefore, intensity decreases by factor of 100.
