A Sound note is produced by a ringing bell and the echo of the note from a nearby wall is received 0.5secs later. If the frequency of the note is 400hz and its wavelength is 1m. Calculate the distance between the bell and the wall.

Since its an echo, the wave travels twice. Once to the wall and once going back. It takes 0.5 seconds to reflect of the wall and into our ears which means the time it takes to reach the wall would be 0.5 / 2 = 0.25

Distance= speed*time

Distance= 400*0.25

Distance = 100m
