The value of wavelength of the wave is λ′ = 50 cm

Explanation:

  • λ′ = v  (v + vs ) λ
  • Here λ = 40 cm
  • vs  = (  1 /  10 ) v

Substituting these values in the equation.

λ′ = (1 +  1/10) 40

λ′ = 50 cm

Hence the value of wavelength of the wave is λ′ = 50 cm
