Given,

v = 342 m s^(-1)

λ = 1.5 cm

λ = 1.5 × 10^(-2) m

We have, frequency,

ν = v / λ

Then,

ν = 342 / (1.5 × 10^(-2))

ν = 22800 Hz

ν = 22.8 kHz

This frequency is not audible to human since it is greater than 20 kHz. The frequency range of human audible sound is 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

Wavelength and frequency of a wave are related by the equation  velocity = wavelength x frequency.

Explanation:

Wave velocity = 342 m/s

Wavelength = 1.5 cm = 1.5/100 = 0.015 m

f = wave velocity x wavelength

= 342 x 0.015

= 5.13 Hz

audible range of sound ranges from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.

this frequency is not audible.
