violent video games like grand theft auto series may be fun and addicting for kids, but they are very harmful too. they give kids the wrong ideas and show content that are not meant for children to look at. on buying such video games the age rating must be taken into consideration.

Video Games as a whole appear harmless, millions of kids spend hours enthralled by them on the daily. On the surface there is no deep rooted issue regarding this, but in this day of age where people lose their lives daily, we have to ask are these so called “harmless entertainment products” affecting the minds of our youth in an unforeseeable way? Approximately 90% of children in the United States play video games, and more than 90% of those games are more like to include graphic violent content. While there are studies that claim there’s a lack of a strong influence between violent media and acts of violence, an ever growing body of research actually supports the idea that violent video games can make kids act more aggressively in their real world relationships, cause an increase in their aggressive behaviors, lower their empathy, making them less kind, and probing the idea that resolution can stem from violence. Last but not least, many of those responsible for mass shooting were found to have played violent video games.
