by Archimedes principle

vol. of sphere = vol. of rise in water level cylindrical vessel
let rise in water in cylindrical vessel be "x"
so ,
 \frac{4}{3} \pi {r}^{3}  = \pi {R}^{2} x
(by putting the values in formula)

 \frac{4}{3}  \times  \frac{22}{7}   \times {3}^{3}  =  \frac{22}{7}  \times  {9}^{2}  \times x


 =  >  \frac{4}{3}  \times 27 = 81 \times  x

 =  > x =  \frac{4}{9} \:  \:  cm
so,
water rises by 4/9 cm
