Hi user,

A spherical ball made of steel when dropped in mercury container will be partly immersed in mercury.

Hope it would be helpful to you.

Mercury has more density than steel ( an alloy of iron carbon and other elements)
so the ball of steel will float on the surface of mercury.

SpecialOperationsGuy: not completely outside but will be partially sinking on the surface
