Answer:

(a)205.33cm³ (b)616cm²

Explanation:

volume of sphere=4/3pir²

=4/3×22/7×7×7

=4/3×22×7

=4/3×154

=616/3

=205.33cm³

:. volume of the spherical ball =205.33

surface area of sphere=4×pi×r²

=4×22/7×7×7

=4×22×7

=88×7

=616cm².........

Given:

Diameter of spherical ball = 7 cm

So, Radius = 7 / 2 cm

To find:

  • volume of the spherical ball
  • surface area of the spherical ball

Answer:

a) Formula of volume of sphere

 =  \frac{4}{3}  \times \pi {r}^{3}

 =  \frac{4}{3}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  \times  \frac{7}{2}

 =  \frac{1}{3}  \times  \frac{11}{1}  \times 1 \times  \frac{7}{1} \times  \frac{7}{1}

 =  \frac{539}{3}

= 179.66 cm³

b) Formula of surface area of sphere

 = 4\pi \: r {}^{2}

 = 4 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  \times  \frac{7}{2}

 = 22 \times 7

= 154 cm²
