\tt{\huge{ANSWER:}}

Let the number of bugs the spider ate this month be equal to x

Number of bugs eaten last month = 88

Given that:

x = 25% of 88 + 88

Thus, solving the equation formed;

=》 x = \frac{25}{100}\times 88 + 88\\

=》 x = \frac{1}{4}\times 88 + 88\\

=》 x = 22 + 88

=》 \huge{\tt{x = 110}}

Hope it Helps! :)

ANSWERS :)

To increase by a percentage, multiply by the 1+(the percentage/100). i.e. in this case to find 25% we'd multiply by 0.25, so to increase by 25% we basically find 125% of it, which involves multiplying by 1.25.

8*1.25 is 110, so the spider ate 10 bugs this month.
