A sprinter in a 100m race covers 4m in first second, 30 m in next 4 seconds, 30 m in next 4 seconds and 52 m in another 4 seconds and finishes the race in 10 seconds n calculate the average velocity and average speed

Average velocity = Average speed (if the sprinter runs in a straight path)

So average velocity = (4+30+30+52) ÷ (1+4+4+4)

                                = 8.92 m/s
