Hi ,
Let side of the square = a = 40 m
Height of the parallelogram( h )= 20m
Let the base = b m
Area of the parallelogram = area of
the square
bh = a²
b = a²/h
b = ( 40 × 40 ) / 20
b = 80 m
Therefore ,.
Base of the parallelogram = b = 80m
I hope this helps you.

area of a square = side^2
area of a parallelogram= base * height
side of square=40m
height of parallelogram=20m
according to given condition-
(side^2)=(base * ht)
40^2 = base * 20
1600= base* 20
base= 80 m ans
