A square and a rectangle are of the same
perimeter. Length of a side of the square is 8 cm.
If the width of the rectangle is 6 cm,
find the length of the rectangle and hence find
its area.​

Answer:

ATQ

Perimeter of square= perimeter of rectangle

4×side=2(l+b)

4×8=2(l+6)

32=2l+12

32-12=2l

20 =2l

20/2=l

10=l

length=10

Area of rectangle =l×b

10×6=60
