Solution :

Two plots of land , one is in the shape of a square and one a rectangle have the same perimeter.

The square has a side of 30 m .

Perimeter of the square : 30 m * 4

> 120 m .

This is equal to the perimeter of the rectangle.

So, 2 ( Length + Breadth ) = 120 m

> Length + Breadth = 60 m

Breadth = 1.5 dam = 15 m

Length : 45 m

Area of the square :

> 30 * 30

> 900 m^2

Area of the rectangle :

> 45 * 15

> 675 m^2 .

This is the required answer .

ANsWeR :-

For square :-

Area of square = side × side

=> 30 × 30

=> 900 m^2

For Rectangle :-

Perimeter of Square = 30 × 4 = 120 m

Area of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

=> 120/2 = l + b

=> 60 = l + b

Breadth = 1.5 dam = 15m

Length = 60 - 15 = 45 m

So ,

Area of Rectangle = 45 × 15 = 675 m^2

Hence , area of square is 900 m^2

Hence , area of rectangle is 675 m^2
