Answer:

Side of Square Field = 60 m

Perimeter of the Square Field = 4 x 60 m = 240 m

Hence, it's area = 60mx60m = 3600 m²

Now,

Length of Rectangular Field = 80 m

Hence, Breadth of the Rectangular Field = (Perimeter - 2xLength)/2 = 40 m

So, area of the Rectangular Field = Length x Breadth = 80 m x 40 m = 3200 m²

Since, 3600 m² > 3200m²

Hence, Area of Square Field is larger.

Hope it helps...

Answer:

Square has grater area

Step-by-step explanation:

side of square= 60 meters

perimeter of square= 4×side

= 4×60

= 240 meters

therefore, we know that both the figure have same perimeter

so,

we can say

perimeter of rectangle= 240 metre

perimeter of rectangle=2( l+b )=240 m

240 m = 2(80+b )

= 160-2b

2b = 240-160

2b = 80

b = 80

2

b = 40

Area of square = side × side

= 60 × 60

= 3600 metre

Area of rectangle = l × b

= 80 × 40

= 3200 meter

therefore, square has a greater area.
