Suppose the length of the square is x . Then it's perimeter would be equal to 4x . Then the perimeter of the triangle would be 3( x+4) Now as they are equal 4x = 3(x+4) 4x= 3x+12 X= 12 Therefore perimeter of the square is 4x = 4× 12= 48

Let the length of the side of square be a inches
and Length of equilateral triangle be x inches
A/q
x = 4+ a
and , 3x = 4a
⇒3(4 +a) = 4a
⇒a = 12
so perimeter of square = 4× 12 = 48 inches
