Step-by-step explanation:

Equilateral triangle perimeter = 3 x

Square perimeter = 4 y

Since same perimeter of equilateral triangle and square

3x=4y

Given that,

Each side of triangle is 3 inches longer than each side of square

So

Triangle side will be y+3

So,

3(y+3)=4y

3y+9=4y

Y=9

Triangle side will be= y+3 =9+3=12 inches

Square side = 9 inches

Square perimeter = 6 *9 = 54 inches
