APPLYING THE PYTHAGOREAN THEOREM ON THE SIDES OF THE SQUARE WE GET THE LENGTH OF THE DIAGONAL TO BE 5√2 cm.

given a = 5

then diagonal = root 2× 5

≈ 7.07
