Side of the square field = 1.2 km

Boundary of the field is its perimeter

Perimeter of a square = 4 x side

= 4 x 1.2 km

= 4.8 km

He walked the boundary twice

Thus,

Distance covered by him = 2 x 4.8 km

= 9.6 km

His speed = 4.8 kmph

Thus,

Time taken by him = d/s

= 9.6/4.8

= 2 hours

Hope it helps :)
