Question :

the area of a square field is 5184 metre square a rectangular field whose length is twice its breadth has its perimeter is equal to the perimeter of the square field .find the area of the rectangular field?

Solution:

Area of square = Side × side

side ² = 5184

side = 72 m

According to the question ;

length of rectangle = 2 breadth of rectangle

and

Perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square

let the breadth of rectangle be x

then length of rectangle = 2x

perimeter of square = perimeter of rectangle

4× side = 2(l+b)

4× 72 = 2(2x+x)

288 = 6x

x = 48 m

Breadth of rectangular field = 48m

Length of rectangular field = 96m.

Area of rectangle = L×B

= 48× 96

= 4608 m²

i hope it helps you!
