The side of square =35m
width of cross roads =3m
area of cross road = 35×3 ×2 (2paths so ,multiplied by 2)
=105×2
=300m^2
Area of path = (s×s )+( s×s) - common part of square path
=300-9 (already added)
=291m^2

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

side = 35 m

area of first road = L * B

                             = 35 m * 3 m

                             = 105 sq. m

area of roads = area of first road * 2 - (s * s)

                      = 105 sq. m * 2 - (3 m * 3 m)

                      = 210 sq. m - 9 sq. m

                      = 201 sq. m
