A square has the same area as that of a rectangle of length and breadth equal to 244cm and 61 cm respectively . Find the perimeter of the square.

Answer:

Given that,

  • Area of Square = Area of Rectangle
  • Length (of rectangle) = 244cm
  • Breadth (of rectangle) = 61cm

To find :-

  • Perimeter of square.

Solution :-

★ Area of Rectangle = L×B

=> 244 × 61

=> 14,884

★ Area of Square = S×S

=> a²

=> √14,884

=> 122

Here, Area of Rectangle = Area of Square is 14,884 and Side of Square is 122cm

  • Therefore, Area of Rectangle and Square is 14,884cm²

★ Perimeter of Square :-

»» 4 × Side

=> 4 × 122

=> 488cm

Therefore, Perimeter of Square is 488cm.
