Given, the width of path= 2
Side of lawn including the path= x+2(2)=x+4
Area of lawn= Area of lawn including the path - Area of path
Area of square= side²
x²=(x+4)²-240
x²=x²+8x+16-240
x²=x²+8x-224
x²-x²-8x=-224 (transposing 8x)
-8x=-224
x=224/8
x=28
Side of lawn=28
Area=(28)²
=784m²
