A square park is of side 25m.Inside the park,a path of uniform width of 2m runs all around its boundary.Find the cost of covering the remaining portion of the park by grass at the rate of rs 3 per sq m.

                                   =29m

now the area of this square =29²
                                            =841 sq m

 area of smaller square        = 25²

                                              =625 sq m

therefore area covered by grass =841-625
                                                    = 416sq m
therefore cost ofcovering = 3*416
