Each edge = a

volume of room = floor area × height
⇒ 1296 m³ = a × 4m
⇒ (1296 m³)/4m =a²
⇒ 324 m² = a²
⇒ a = √324m²
⇒ a = 18m

∴length of the room is 18 m
