Before Discussing Square we should have proper ideas about the Following -

  • QUADRILATERALS

A plane Figure having Four Sides is known as Quadrilateral. The sum of all angles of a Quadralateral is 360°.

  • PARALLELOGRAM

The Parallelogram is a special Qudrilateral whose opposite sides are equal and parallel.

Its adjacent angles are supplementary and opposite angles are equal while its diagonals bisect each other.

Now, Rectangle , Rhombus and Square are special quadrilateral having some unique qualities like.

Rhombus is a parallelogram whose all sides are equal and its diagonals bisect each other at 90°.

Rectangle is a parallelogram whose each angle is 90° and diagonals are equal.

Now, Square is a Parallelogram having properties of Rectangle & Rhombus.

Yes, we can define it as rhombus with equal angle and a rectangle with all equal sides.

Because a Rectangle whose all sides equal becomes a square and adjacent sides are equal and Diagonals bisect at 90°.

And rhombus with equal angles is also a square as its Diagonals are equal and each angle is 90°.
