In this question,
By putting the values of n in the equation , terms will be
a1 = 1^2 -1 = 0
a2 = 2^2 -1 = 3
a3 = 3^2 -1 = 8
Here,
a3 -a2 = 8-3 = 5
a2-a1 = 3-0 = 3
We can see that the common difference is not same . So, the series is not an AP.
