Answer: (a) We know that in a rectangle, opposite sides are equal and each angle is a right angle. If all its side are equal, then it becomes square. So, a square can be thought of as a special rectangle. (b) We know that in a parallelogram, opposite sides are parallel as well as equal and opposite angles are equal. If its opposite angles are right angles, then it becomes a rectangle. So, a rectangle can be thought of as a special parallelogram. (c) We know that in a rhombus, all four sides are equal and opposite sides are parallel. If its all angles are right angles, then it become a square. So, a square can be thought of as a special rhombus. (d) We know that a polygon, which has four sides is called a quadrilateral. Square, rectangle and parallelogram also have four sides. So, these all are quadrilaterals. (e) We know that in a parallelogram, opposite sides are parallel as well as equal and opposite angles are equal. In a square, opposite sides are parallel as well as equal and opposite angles are equal to right angle. So, a square is also a parallelogram.
