Outer side of the square grassy plot = 100m

Outer area of the square grassy plot = side× side

Outer area of the square grassy plot= 100×100 = 10000 m²

Width of the gravel path = 10 m

Inner side of the square grassy plot = 100- (2 x 10)

= 100-20= 80 m

Inner area of square grassy plot = 80× 80

= 6400 m²

Area of the gravel path = Outer area of the grassy plot - inner area of the grassy plot

Area of the gravel path = 10000 - 6400

Area of the gravel path= 3600 m²

Hence, the area of the path = 3600 m²

Hello

Here is your answer

Area of the outer square(grassy plot)=s²

=100²

=10000m²

Side of the inner square=100-10=90m

Area of inner square=s²

=90²

=8100m²

Area of path=Area of outer square - Area of inner square

=10000-81000

=1900m²

Therefore Area of gravel path=1900m²

Hope it helps you...
