Answer:

A invested = Rs. 2800

B invested = Rs. 3600

C invested = Rs. 5600

Here, A started the business that means A has invested for a period of 12 months.

So, let B’s investment be for a time period of “x” months and C’s investment be for a period of “x-2” months, as C has joined 2  months after B.

We know,

Profit = Investment * Time

Also given,

A’s annual profit share = C’s annual profit share

Therefore, we can write

2800 * 12 = 5600 * (x - 2)

⇒ 33600 = 5600 x – (5600 * 2)

⇒ 33600 = 5600 x – 11200

⇒ 44800 = 5600 x

x = 8 months

C’s time of investment = x- 2 = 8 – 2 = 6 months

Hence, C has invested for a period of 6 months.
