a) Ohm's law states that the current through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to the voltage across the two points.

b) 1. Set up an electric circuit consisting of a 0.5 m long nichrome wire xy, an ammeter, a voltmeter, and four cells of 1.5 V each.

2. First we connect the one cell to circuit and take the reading of ammeter A and voltmeter V for the potential differences across the wire.

3. Then connect the rest of the cells to the circuit and collect the readings of the ammeter and voltmeter respectively.

4. Plot the graph between V and I. The V- I graph is a straight line pssing through the origin. Output: V is directly proportional to I.
