and the volume of 2MHCL (V2) be(1-x) L

let M1=8M and M2=2M

we know that

(M1V1 + M2V2) / (V1+ V2)= 4M

(8x + 2(1-x) /1 = 4

(8x+2-2x)=4

6x+2=4

6x=4-2

6x=2

x=2/6
